How To Fit Exercise In Your Busy Schedule

By Rey Vetangelo
Everyone knows that, unless you are a professional athlete or have all the time in the world, that it is pretty hard to find the time to really stay fit and healthy. There are however, some key ways to keep your body moving even when you are pressed with time.

It really takes creativity and sometimes it takes you getting out of your comfort zone. For instance, you can’t be thinking about what the girl or guy next to you thinks when you start doing pushups around your cubicle. If it isn’t bothering the office then you are fine.

So what other options are available? One popular diet that can be very effective in rapid weight loss is the Atkins Diet, more formally called the Atkins Nutritional Approach.

The basic premise of the Atkins diet is that by eating a small amount of carbohydrates, one can force the body to use fat stores for energy instead of glucose from food consumption. When an individual eats carbohydrates, glucose levels spikes.

This triggers the production of insulin which turns the glucose in the blood into energy, and reduces the blood sugars back to a normal level. This process is especially pronounced when eating simple carbohydrates, high fructose corn syrup, and refined sugars.

The way weight loss occurs through the Atkins diet is by eating very few carbohydrates. By doing so, blood sugar levels do not spike to the same degree and consequently, insulin production is decreased. Without insulin production, the body is forced into a process called ketosis where energy is obtained from stored fats. This quickly reduces the quantity of stored fats and results in weight loss.

Make sure that you are stretching several times a day. Working out is good but it takes stretching to create sustainable and practical strength.

Everyone reaches the point where they are just sick of doing the same thing day in and day out. You need to make sure that you don’t plateau out and that you have the right attitude of excitement for all of your exercise routines.

This question is controversial among health professionals. There are some changes that happen when practicing the Atkins diet that may have negative health impacts. However, it is important to also consider the negative impacts of prolonged obesity as well. If you are interested in the Atkins diet, consult with your healthcare professional and find out if it could be a good fit for you.
